- The Rams went up 1-0 in the sixth minute as Field received a short penalty from Jaimie McCormick and beat the goalkeeper to the near post
- VCU went up 2-0 just 31 seconds into the second quarter as Rosenbrock collected a blocked shot and scored from five yards out
- The Rams pushed their lead to 3-0 in the 42nd minute as Jaimie McCormick played a pass between defenders to McKinney who was one-on-one with the Saint Louis goalkeeper, dribbled past her and scored
