The Short Story: VCU Men's Tennis had a strong showing at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic highlighted by junior Matisse Bobichon winning the singles draw and automatically qualifying for a wild card for the ITA Fall Championship. 
 
OPENING SERVE

• The last time VCU won the MTC was in 2000
• Bobichon defeated teammate and graduate student Charles Bertimon in the finals
• Charles Bertimon defeated teammate and brother senior Maxence Bertimon in the semifinals with tie breaking match that ended 15-13
• The brothers paired nicely in the doubles tournament, advance to the final before falling to Milavsky/ Jachuck (Harvard) 8-5 

Hear from Matisse Bobichon:
"It feels amazing. I'm very happy with the way I played and competed this weekend and it was even more meaningful to be able to share with the guys and our coach Quentin for his first off-season tournament. To be honest, it wasn't very expected but we are all working hard for it and it's going to be such a great experience for me. I'm going to prepare [for] it very seriously so I can represent VCU's colors the best way I can."
