Bertimon jumped out to an early lead over Walton claiming a 4-3 advantage in the first set. Walton would charge back however, earning victories in both the first and second set to claim the match.

This loss marks the end of the singles campaign for Bertimon. The Champagne Sur-Seine, France native ends the year with a 17-14 singles record across both tournament and dual match play.

Bertimon will compete tomorrow, May 24, with his doubles partner and brother
Maxence Bertimon as they face TCU's Jacob Fearnley and Luc Fomba in the NCAA Doubles Championship Round of 32.
