The Short Story:  VCU fell behind Richmond 5-2 lead at the end of the first quarter, but the Rams were shutout in the second quarter as the Spiders pulled away for the win.

  • Richmond and VCU traded goals early as Mia George's goal tied the game 1-1 with 13:00 left in the first quarter
  • After three unanswered Richmond goals, Mia George scored to get the Rams back within 4-2 with 5:42 left until halftime
  • The Rams were held scoreless from that point until there was 1:14 remaining in the third quarter as Richmond built a 17-2 lead
