The Short Story: VCU trailed ODU 7-4 at halftime, but the Rams' defense held the Monarchs to just two second half goals and they outscored the Monarchs 7-2 for the come-from-behind victory.

• Juliana George scored two goals and recorded an assist along with a caused turnover

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• ODU opened the game with a 3-1 lead with 10:25 left in the first quarter
• The two teams went back-and-forth with ODU holding a 5-4 lead before the Monarchs scored two goals in the final 35 seconds of the half to lead 7-4
• The Rams then held ODU scoreless for the next 18:30 of game play as VCU reeled off six unanswered goals with McLaughlin's goal giving VCU a 10-7 lead with 12:05 remaining
• ODU clawed back within 10-9 with 5:01 left but the Rams shutout the Monarchs for the remainder of the game and got the final goal from Mia George
