The Short Story: VCU and Saint Joseph's battled back-and-forth throughout the contest but the Hawks were able to score the decisive goal in the 42nd minute off a penalty corner.

  • Saint Joseph's tied the game 1-1 in the 28th minute as James got goal side of VCU and tapped in a pass from the end line
  • The Hawks took a 2-1 lead in the 42nd minute as James scored off a penalty corner feed at the back post
