Jovana Vukcevic ripped a team-high 15 kills to lead VCU over George Washington Saturday at the Siegel Center.

OPENING VOLLEY
- Vukcevic hit .333 in 42 swings and also provided four blocks
- Sophomore setter Corinna Jones dished out a career-high 47 assists for VCU
- Sophomore outside hitter Kialah Jefferson hit .409 on 22 attempts and finished with 12 kills for the Black and Gold. She also dug 19 balls
- Senior outside Qairo Bentley (12) and junior middle blocker Jasmine Knight (10) also reached double-digit kills for VCU. In addition, Bentley provided 16 digs
- Sophomore libero Crew Hoffmeier led the back line with 22 digs for the Rams
- Salem Yohannes led all players with 16 kills for George Washington

THE DIFFERENCE
- VCU hit .237 in the match. The Rams were remarkably consistent throughout the match, hitting at least .220 in every set. VCU also held the Colonials to a .168 hitting percentage, including .109 in the second frame as the Rams built a 2-0 lead
- Jefferson and Knight each contributed a pair of kills as VCU built a 12-5 lead in the decisive fourth set. George Washington could get no closer than 13-11 before VCU embarked on a 6-1 burst, sparked by a Bentley kill, to put the set out of reach
- The first set featured 14 ties and four lead changes before VCU was able to put the frame away. Jones dumped in a kill to snap a 22-all tie, and Bentley blasted one on the ensuing rally to push the Rams ahead 24-22. A George Washington miscue on the next play cemented VCU's victory
