MATSUHISA'S TWO GOALS LEAD RAMS OVER DAYTON

The short story: VCU handed Dayton their first conference loss thanks to sophomore forward Kanna Matsuhisa's second-half brace and game-winning goal in the 80th minute

  • Matsuhisa scored her first goal of the game in the 69th minute which was also the first of her career. She had a team-high four shot attempts in addition to her two goals
  • Sophomore defender Greta Kraszula was credited with the assist on the first goal

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • After a scoreless first half, Dayton's Audrey Steiert scored the first goal of the day in the 51st minute
  • The Rams began their comeback when Matsuhisa placed herself in the box for a corner kick and found the back of the net in the 71st minute
  • During the 79th minute, Kraszula drove down the middle of the field and laid a perfect pass to Matsuhisa who kicked a ball into the top right corner of the net and the game-winning goal of the match
