The Short Story:Â VCU held a 56-55 lead late in the fourth quarter until a 7-0 run sparked by a
Taya Robinson 3-pointer with 1:28 remaining pushed VCU to the win.

OPENING TIP:
- Sarah Te-Biasu led VCU with a career-high 24 points, shooting 8-of-13 from the floor while adding four assists and two steals
- Robinson added 20 points on 6-of-12 shooting, going 4-of-7 from 3-point range
- Keowa Walters added eight points and tied for a team-high six rebounds
- VCU shot a season-high 46.9 percent from the floor and 43.8 percent from 3-point range
- The Black and Gold forced 20 turnovers and outscored Davidson 33-15 in points off turnovers

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- VCU trailed 6-3 early before a 9-2 run capped by a Janika Griffith-Wallace layup gave the Rams a 12-8 lead with 3:00 minutes left in the first. The Rams ultimately led 14-12 heading into the second quarter
- Thew game was tied at 19-19 in the second quarter when Sarah Te-Biasu went on a personal 9-0 run capped off by a fast break layup with 2:28 left to give VCU a 28-19 lead
- Te-Biasu then hit a step-back 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Rams a 31-23 lead at the half
- Davidson cut into VCU's lead in the third quarter with a 10-4 to get with 35-33 with 6:29 left in the third quarter. The two teams battled back-and-forth and the Rams clung to a 47-42 lead heading into the fourth
- After the Rams pushed their lead to 50-42 on a Robinson 3-pointer, Davidson used a 7-0 run to cut it to 50-49 in the fourth quarter after a pair of Cassidy Gould free throws with 5:57 left
- The Rams led just 56-55 when Taya Robinson hit a 3-pointer with 1:28 left followed by a turnaround jumper on back-to-back possessions to push the Rams lead to 61-56 and seal the win
