The Short Story: VCU Men's Tennis continued its hot start to the season by defeating James Madison 7-0 Saturday afternoon at the Thalhimer Tennis Center.
OPENING SERVE
- Sophomore Lleyton Cronje and freshman Mario Duron earned a 6-1 victory on court three to open doubles play
- Junior Charles Bertimon and senior Quentin Coulaud clinched the doubles point for the Rams with a 6-4 win on court one
- In singles competition, Bertimon cruised past his James Madison counterpart with a 6-1, 6-2 straight-set victory on court one
- Coulaud remained undefeated in a Rams uniform notching a 6-1, 6-2 straight-set win on court two.
- Senior Inigo Torre Martin secured the match victory for VCU with a 6-2, 7-6 (3) victory on court three
- Senior Timo Zgraggen improved to 3-1 on the season with a 6-3, 7-6 (4) win on court four
- Junior Rayane Stable and sophomore David Cierney closed out the match with victories on courts five and six, respectively.
