RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Men's Tennis will host a pair of matches this weekend as it looks to stay undefeated in the 2020-21 season.

The Rams went 2-0 with a pair of 7-0 sweeps of Longwood on Sunday in the season opener.

VCU will face Old Dominion at 1 p.m. Friday and will take on James Madison at 1 p.m. Saturday. Both matches will be held at the Thalhimer Tennis Center.

The Rams put together a dominant performance in doubles competition last weekend claiming both of the doubles points. The pairing of junior
Charles Bertimon and senior
Quentin Coulaud went 2-0 competing on court one.

Sophomore
Lleyton Cronje and freshman
Mario Duron also went undefeated last week with victories on court one and court three.

In singles play, junior
Rayane Stable, senior
Timo Zgraggen, Bertimon and Coulaud all earned a pair of straight-set singles victories against the Lancers.

Old Dominion enters Friday on a four-match win streak. It will be the 39
th meeting between the two programs with a Rams leading the all-time series 23-15.

James Madison comes into Saturday's match at 0-1 after dropping its season-opener, 2-5 to Virginia Tech on Wednesday.

Per VCU Athletics guidelines announced prior to the season, no spectators will be allowed into the Thalhimer tennis center at this time.
