VCU LOOKS TO STAY UNBEATEN VS. EAST CAROLINA

RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Women's Soccer is looking to stay unbeaten as it faces East Carolina at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sports Backers Stadium.
 
VCU downed Liberty, 2-0 in its season opener on Feb. 8 and cruised past Old Dominion, 4-0 on Feb. 11.
 
Redshirt-junior Samantha Jerabek has led the Rams through the early part of the schedule. Jerabek scored four goals and tallied an assist during the opening week of competition. On Monday, she was named Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week as a result of her play.
 
Junior goalkeeper Brecht Haakma has excelled through the first two games. Haakma has yet to surrender a goal on the season and was named A-10 Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.
 
Saturday will mark the third meeting between the two programs. The Buccaneers lead the all-time series 1-0-1.
 
East Carolina comes into the Saturday's game sitting at 1-1 on the season. The Buccaneers dropped their opening match, 1-0 to Old Dominion and earned a 1-0 overtime win vs. Houston on Saturday.

Per VCU Athletics guidelines, the stadium will be at reduced capacity. A maximum of 250 spectators are allowed in attendance.
