The short story: Graduate outside hitter Jovana Vukcevic supplied a match-high 14 kills to lead VCU to its sixth straight victory Friday in Washington, D.C.

• Freshman outside hitter Kialah Jefferson added 13 kills and six digs for the Rams, while senior libero Alyna Draper provided 15 digs
• Freshman setter Katrina Davis handed out 38 assists and was credited with 12 digs for VCU

• VCU hit .322 in the match, and the Rams produced 21 more kills than the Colonials
• George Washington hit just .109 on the night, including -.088 in the second set
• The Rams dug 59 balls in just three sets, while GW managed 41
• VCU fended off three set points in the first and eventually scored a 31-29 victory following a pair of Colonial miscues and a kill by sophomore middle Kylie Loftis that provided the Rams with the final three points of the frame
