  • Overall, VCU outscored George Mason 22-10 in the second quarter to lead 35-21 at halftime
  • The Rams continued to pull away in the third quarter, stretching their lead to 52-28 on a Griffith-Wallace layup, the largest lead of the game
  • George Mason would get back within 52-41 with 6:04 remaining in the fourth quarter but VCU held the Patriots scoreless for the remainder of the game
