  • The game was tied five different times during a contested third quarter as Dayton clung to a 39-36 lead heading into the fourth
  • Dayton held its largest lead of the game at 45-38 with 7:08 remaining before VCU went on a 8-1 run to get within 47-46 with 1:43 left
  • The Flyers scored five of their final six points at the free throw line and VCU was unable to retake the lead
