The Short Story: In an intense battle for the doubles point, the Rams prevailed and carried the momentum to a win in their home opener.

OPENING SERVE

  • Rayane Stable and Inigo Torre Martin dominated early cruising to a 6-0 No. 2 doubles win over Richmond's John Walsh and George Lovitt.
  • After trailing most of the No. 3 doubles match, Charles Bertimon and Daniel Khin battled back to overcome Klein Evans and Campbell Erwin of Richmond 7-5, clinching the doubles point for the Rams.
  • Inigo Torre Martin improved to 3-0 in singles with a commanding 6-0, 6-2 win over Richmond's John Walsh.
  • Following an enthusiastic doubles comeback, sophomore Charles Bertimon carried the momentum to a 6-4, 6-0 defeat of Klein Evans in No. 2 singles.
  • Lleyton Cronje battled a ferocious Matt Fernandez in his No. 1 singles matchup. The freshman competed and topped Fernandez 6-4, 6-4
