- The combination of Arvid Noren and Inigo Torre Martin took down Gonzalo Adis and William Karpinski in No. 2 doubles to give VCU its first doubles victory of the match
- In No. 3 doubles, Rayane Stable and Inaki Rivero Crespo teamed up to defeat Josh Raymundo and Tate Steinour to give VCU the doubles point
- Martin earned VCU its second point of the match when he took down Adis in two sets, only allowing three games against him
