The Short Story: The Rams limited ODU to shoot just 27 percent and used a dominant fourth quarter to beat in-state rival Old Dominion on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a slow start from both teams, the Rams finally got going and ended the first quarter on a 10-5 run to go up 15-8.
- ODU chipped away at VCU's lead in the second quarter made it a two-point game heading into halftime with the Rams leading 26-24 at the break.
- VCU started the second half with a 9-4 run but the Monarchs bounced back with an 8-to-2 run of their own that kept things close.
- It was all VCU in the fourth quarter, however, as the Rams exploded for a 16-2 run that put them in control.
- VCU made four of its final five shot attempts to end the game.
