The short story: Junior opposite Gina Tuzzolo racked up 10.5 points for VCU, but it wasn't enough to slow down Florida State Friday evening in the Sunshine State.

OPENING VOLLEY

• Tuzzolo provides six kills for the Rams Friday and hit a respectable.286. The Newport News native also supplied three blocks and served up a trio of aces
• Junior middle blocker Jasmin Sneed added five kills, while hitting .273, and recorded four blocks for the Black and Gold
• Senior middle blocker Tori Baldwin also contributed four kills and two blocks to the VCU cause
• Payton Caffrey led an effective Seminole offense with 16 kills, while hitting .538

THE DIFFERENCE 

• The Rams could do little to halt FSU's momentum. The Seminoles hit .475 in the match, while the Rams hit .096
• Florida State outdug the Rams 32-16
• The Seminoles also won a side out 72-percent of the time

• Baldwin inches closer to VCU's career blocks mark. She is now just seven shy of overtaking Kelsie Clegg (434) on the Rams' all-time list
