RAMS DROP ROAD MATCH TO N.C. STATE

The short story:
 The Rams fell on the road to N.C. State at the Isenhour Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon. The Black and Gold battled hard against the Wolfpack who has multiple players ranked in the top 100 by the ITA. Senior Daryl Monfils recorded the lone point for the Rams on the first court where he defeated Igor Saveljic in consecutive sets.

FIRST SERVE

  • After dropping the first doubles match Monfils and classmate Marten Jonsson responded with a win of their own over N.C. State's Nick Horton and Alexis Galameau, 6-4.
  • Jonsson and Monfils now hold a 5-1 dual record on the doubles court this season.
  • With his win, Monfils is now 8-4 overall thus far.
  • Jonsson took on Alexis Galameau, ranked 67th by the ITA on the second court, while freshman Ignacio Rivero Crespo faced 68th ranked Nick Horton on the third court.
