How It Happened

  • Saint Louis controlled much of the first half. The Billikens had a pair of shots in the first 20 minutes, but both missed the back of the net.
  • Dakota Barnathan and Luc Fatton looked to create scoring opportunities for the Rams, but the SLU defense turned both chances away.
  • SLU's Lennart Hein scored a late first half goal to give the Billikens a 1-0 advantage at the break.
  • Less than 10 minutes into the second half, SLU extended it's lead on a penalty kick.
  • The Rams fought back with Ivan Sakou looking to cut the deficit to one, but the Billiken keeper prevented that from happening.
