- Behind a three-pointer from Chadarryl Clay, VCU cut the Lady Monarch's lead to one, 18-17 with a little over three minutes before the break.
- The Lady Monarchs held off the VCU rally and closed the half with Ashley Betz-White hitting a three to put ODU ahead 35-21.
- After the break, ODU pushed the advantage, securing a 66-44 win.
