How It Happened
- With four minutes remaining in the first half, Isis Thorpe hit a shot from long range to spark a 9-0 run and give the Rams their largest lead of the half, 37-20.
- The Rams maintained their 17-point lead at halftime, with Ashley Pegram leading the way with 10 points.
- UMES started to scratch away at VCU's lead in the second half, but it wasn't enough as the Rams continued to pull away.
- The VCU defense forced the Lady Hawks to 20 turnovers.
- Thorpe led the Rams with 15 points, while Pegram and Adaeze Alaeze added 13 and 11, respectively.
