- Freshman Romana Kriskova blasted a team-high 12 kills and hit .476 to lead VCU.
- VCU, the second-rated blocking team in the Atlantic 10, out blocked Albany 8-2 and out hit the Great Danes .282 to .139.
- VCU committed just three service errors in the match, by far their fewest total of the season. The Rams' previous best had been seven.
- Sophomore setter Cecilia Aragao dished out 35 assists and recorded seven digs and three blocks.
- Senior middle Jasmine Waters hit .353 with eight kills and six blocks.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- VCU, which ranks second in the A-10 in hitting, recorded a plus .200 hitting percentage for the sixth straight match.
- The Rams have won six straight matches to improve to 10-1, their best 11-match mark since 2000.
- Despite nine previous victories, Friday's win was the Rams' first sweep of the season.
- This was the first meeting between these two schools since a 3-1 VCU win Nov. 26, 2010 at the Siegel Center.
