RICHMOND, Va. – VCU student-athletes did more than win on the field in 2018-19. The Rams also displayed championship effort in the classroom.

For a record-setting ninth semester, VCU student-athletes recorded a combined grade point average of 3.0 or better. The Rams' 3.20 GPA during the spring is the highest in VCU Athletics history.

Additionally, 47 student-athletes recorded a 4.0 GPA during the spring semester, while 70 percent received Athletic Director's Honor Roll honors (3.0 GPA or better) and 47 percent were named to the Dean's List (3.5 GPA or higher).

Eleven Rams were named to Atlantic 10 Conference All-Academic Teams in 2018-19.

In addition to their classwork, VCU student-athletes combined for a .673 winning percentage (186-90-2) in 2018-19. The Rams captured nine total Atlantic 10 Conference Championships, while four teams and 11 individuals qualified for NCAA Tournament competition. Four VCU student-athletes were named All-America in their respective sports.
