Three Finish in the Top 50 at the Annual Paul Short Run

Team Scoring: 1-Columbia 79, 2-Saint Francis 105, 3-George Washington 121, 4-Liberty 149… 11-Loyola 300, 12-VCU 333, 13-Bryant 384…

The short story: 
VCU's women came in 12th place out of 24 schools, averaging a time of 23:07. Sophomore Ashley Brown paved the way for the Rams coming in at 39th out of 197 competitors.

THE FINISH LINE

  • Brown finished the race with a time of 22:31, beating out 158 other runners.
  • Sophomore Judith White and senior Courtney Holleran ran side-by-side, each crossing the finish line at 22:35.  The pair placed 45th and 46th, respectively.
  • Coming in at 23:18 was Kathleen Gardner, who secured the 84th overall spot. The senior was just five seconds off her 2016 Paul Short 6k time. 
  • Closing it out for the Rams was senior Lindsay Seeley. Seeley's time of 24:33 made her the 144th to cover the 6,000-meter course.
