RICHMOND, Va. – On the heels of her record-breaking junior season, VCU middle blocker Jasmin Sneed (San Antonio, Texas) has been named All-America Honorable Mention, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced Wednesday.

Sneed, who received AVCA All-East Region honors last week, is just the second Ram to receive an AVCA All-America honor and the first since Romana Kriskova also earned an honorable mention citation in 2013.

Sneed set school records for hitting percentage (.382) and blocks per set (1.70), and her 179 total blocks rank second in school history to the 180 she recorded in 2017. She led the A-10 in blocks per set and currently ranks fourth nationally in that category.

Behind Sneed, VCU captured its second straight A-10 regular season championship in 2018. The Rams finished 19-9 overall and 13-1 in league play.
