RICHMOND, Va. – Junior middle blocker Jasmin Sneed (San Antonio, Texas) joined an exclusive club when she was named AVCA All-East Region Tuesday.

It's the first All-Region honor for Sneed, whose outstanding junior campaign also included a First Team All-Atlantic 10 Conference award. She's the fifth Ram to earn All-Region honors from the AVCA, and the fourth in six seasons under Coach Jody Rogers.

Sneed set school records for hitting percentage (.382) and blocks per set (1.70), and her 179 total blocks rank second in school history to the 180 she recorded in 2017. She led the A-10 in blocks per set and currently ranks fourth nationally in that category.

Behind Sneed, VCU captured its second straight A-10 regular season championship in 2018. The Rams finished 19-9 overall and 13-1 in league play.
