SNEED CAPTURES ATLANTIC 10 CONFERENCE HONOR

RICHMOND, Va. – VCU junior middle blocker Jasmin Sneed (San Antonio, Texas) has been named Atlantic 10 Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Sneed led the Rams to a 3-1 record last week after she averaged 1.43 blocks per set. She also hit .372 and averaged 1.43 kills. Sneed picked up All-Tournament honors at the Tallahassee Seminole Invitational Sept. 7-8 after racking up 14 blocks in three matches.

It's Sneed's first A-10 honor of 2018. She collected three A-10 Defensive Player of the Week awards last season.

For the season, Sneed is averaging 1.51 blocks and 1.69 kills per set, while hitting .381.
