RICHMOND, Va. - Junior middle blocker Tori Baldwin (Liberty, N.C.) was named Atlantic 10 Conference Defensive Player of the Week Monday after leading the Rams to a 4-0 mark and a tournament title at Virginia's Jefferson Cup. Baldwin was named Tournament MVP for her efforts.

Baldwin totaled 29 blocks during the week, while committing just one blocking error. On Tuesday, in a match at High Point, Baldwin recorded a season-high 11 blocks. 

In the final match of the weekend against Howard, Baldwin logged seven blocks and hit .688. She also had 12 kills, tying her season high. 

Baldwin is currently second in the Atlantic 10 Conference with a .422 hitting percentage, as well as with her 1.55 blocks per set. Her blocks per set put her at 18th in the nation for that category.

This is the second Atlantic 10 Conference honor that Baldwin has received in as many weeks.   She was awarded Co-Player of the Week to kick off September. 

The Rams (9-2) travel to Lynchburg, Va. on Tuesday for a match against Liberty before hosting a two-day invitational on Sept. 15 and 16.
