RICHMOND, Va. – The contributions of junior middle blocker Tori Baldwin (Liberty, N.C.) and sophomore middle Jasmin Sneed (San Antonio, Texas) to VCU's 3-1 record last week did not go unnoticed. Both players were honored by the Atlantic 10 Conference Tuesday for their efforts.

Baldwin was named A-10 Co-Player of the Week, an honor she'll share with Fordham's Olivia Fairchild. The 6-foot-3 Baldwin was a bear for opponents last week, hitting .456 while averaging 2.50 kills and 1.57 blocks per set. Baldwin hit .643 with 10 kills and eight blocks in the Rams' 3-0 sweep of William & Mary on Aug. 29. She later provided eight kills and seven blocks in a win at Toledo on Friday, Sept. 1.

In seven matches this season, Baldwin is hitting .398, while averaging 2.50 kills and 1.38 blocks per set.

Sneed, meanwhile, will receive her second consecutive A-10 Defensive Player of the Week honor. She recorded 22.0 blocks last week, an average of 1.69 per set. She totaled at least six blocks in three of four matches.

This season, Sneed is averaging a team-best 1.57 blocks per set. She's also hitting .257 and providing 1.57 kills.
