LOVE, JONES STAR AS RAMS CRUISE TO SIXTH STRAIGHT WIN

TALKING POINTS
  • On a night she was honored for her 1,000th career dig, junior Amanda Love recorded 20 more Friday to lead a sweep of La Salle. Unable to crack VCU's defense, the Explorers hit -.011 in the match.
  • VCU has won six straight matches and 13 of its last 14.  The Rams maintained their half-game lead on Duquesne, which topped George Mason 3-0 Friday. VCU improved to 8-0 at home this season.
  • Sophomore Kalah Jones piled up nine kills in the first set and finished with 14 to spark VCU's offense. She hit .357 and collected nine digs.
  • Romana Kriskova, who ranks fourth in the NCAA in kills, overcame a slow start to spike 13 kills and record 12 digs. Kriskova has booked 12 double-doubles (kills-digs) this season.
