TALKING POINTS
  • Kalah Jones ripped 14 kills and it .370, while Janelle Sykes was party to 11 blocks, as VCU pushed Wisconsin to five sets before falling Saturday morning.
  • The Badgers held 1-0 and 2-1 leads in the match, only to watch the Rams answer. The Rams hit .391 and .364 in the second and fourth sets – both victories - respectively.
  • Romana Kriskova led the Rams with 16 kills and 13 digs.
  • VCU junior setter Cecilia Aragao, who recorded her first career triple-double Friday, provided another all-around performance with 38 assists, seven blocks and four kills.
  • In the fifth set, VCU and Wisconsin traded the first six points before the Badgers took control. A 5-0 burst that included kills from three different Wisconsin players pushed the Badgers ahead 8-3. It was a lead they would not relinquish.
