RICHMOND, Va. – If the Atlantic 10 Conference Preseason Coaches Volleyball Poll is any indication, it's going to be an entertaining league race in 2013.

VCU was picked fourth in the poll by league coaches, one year after placing third in the league. The Rams, under the direction of first-year Head Coach Jody Rogers return three starters from a 25-6 team a season ago.
Juniors Cecilia Aragao (setter), Amanda Love (libero) and sophomore Romana Kriskova (outside hitter), and A-10 All-Rookie Team selection in 2013, form a solid foundation for VCU. They'll have the help of four other returning lettermen, plus four newcomers, including ACC transfers Kalah Jones (Clemson) and Kaitlyn LaMantia (N.C. State).
Dayton was a unanimous selection to repeat as conference champion, followed by Duquesne, Saint Louis, VCU and George Washington, respectively, a quartet separated by just 14 votes.
VCU kicks off its 2013 season Aug. 30-31 in a tournament at IUPUI in Indianapolis. The Rams open that weekend with Florida Gulf Coast and will also face host IUPUI and Illinois State. VCU opens the home portion of its slate on Wednesday, Oct. 2 with Hampton.
