- Second-seeded Xavier swept third-seeded VCU for the second time this month in the Atlantic 10 Conference Semifinals at Duquesne University.
- The Musketeers advance to meet top-seeded Dayton Sunday in the A-10 Championship Match.
- The Rams hit just .043 against the Musketeers and managed only 23 kills in three sets.
- A-10 Rookie of the Year Martina Samadan led VCU with seven kills and eight blocks.
- Freshman Romana Kriskova added six kills and six blocks for the Rams, while sophomore Amanda Love accounted for 13 of VCU's 41 digs.
- Xavier's Kelsey Dunaway led all players with 10 kills.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- VCU finishes the year with 25 wins, its second most in eight seasons under Finley. The Rams have topped 20 wins three times during his tenure.
- Samadan established school single-season records for hitting percentage (.349), blocks per set (1.67) and total blocks (172).
- Boyd ends her career with the second-most kills in school history. In four seasons, she provided more than 1,200 kills.
- The Rams were originally selected sixth in the A-10 Preseason Coaches Poll, but finished third in their inaugural season.
