GETTING TO KNOW: FRESHMAN CIARA BROWN
Coming into the 2010 campaign the VCU volleyball team did not have a setter on the roster with any college experience. Freshman Ciara Brown stepped up to lead the Rams at the setter spot, and lead the Rams into the CAA Tournament. Brown was named to the CAA All-Rookie team for her effort.
The Fort Myers, Fla. native recently sat down with VCU Athletic Communication Student Assistant Andrew Phillips to see what keeps her going off of the court.
AP: Why did you decide to come to VCU?
CB: I decided to come to VCU because I really liked all the coaches, they were so welcoming and caring; making sure I had a good time on my visit. VCU also puts a lot of effort to make their student athletes successful. The team was awesome to hang out with too! Also, VCU has a really good Medical School, and I want to be a doctor. Plus, Florida is too hot!

CB: I can do the splits, and I can imitate people pretty accurately.

CB: Candy Corn
AP : What is one quote that inspires you?

CB: The Compass Rose and the Sigel Center
