NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – VCU Track and Field freshman Dajae Goulet earned Atlantic 10 Rookie Performer of the Week honors for her performance on the track at the George Mason Spring Invitational this past weekend in Fairfax, Virginia.

The sprinter from Suffolk, Virginia posted a time of 12.14 seconds in the 100-meter dash, finishing fifth in the event.  She also ran in the 200-meter dash, placing third with a time of 24.89 seconds.

Goulet's times are both currently ranked in the top five among Atlantic 10 competition.  She is one three freshmen to hold a top-five time in the 100-meter dash and just one of two in the 200-meter dash. Freshman Alexis Willis holds a top-time time in each event as well.

Goulet has had a strong outdoor season to this point, having earned three top-five finishes in the 200-meter dash and being a part of two victorious 4x100-meter relay teams.

The Rams have just two regular season meets left before heading up to Amherst, Massachusetts for the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track and Field Championships. VCU heads to Harrisonburg, Virginia this weekend for the William Walton Invitational and will compete in the Georgia Tech Invitational next weekend in Atlanta, Georgia.
