BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – While most people want the summer months to crawl by at a snail's pace, Assistant Coach (Throws) Ethan Tussing of the VCU women's track & field program will not be included in that group.
Tussing can't wait to get back to work, especially after breakout star Julia Anyaugo saw her season come to a close at the NCAA East Perliminary Round. She finished 43rd amongst the top 48 throwers in the East Region in the discus.
"Julia worked incredibly hard, especially in the weight room, this year," Tussing said. "She showed just how good she can be and with some more time to fine tune the small stuff, she could have a really special senior season. We can't wait to get back to work."
The Sterling, Va. native became the first Rams women's thrower to ever reach the NCAA postseason and is the current school record holder in the discus with a throw of 157'8", which she accomplished in April at the Vanderbilt Invitational.
