OPENING SERVE

  • Paola Exposito Diaz-Delgado and Kanako Yano joined forces in No. 2 doubles to defeat Davidson's Samantha Armas and Alexandra Abele to earn VCU the first doubles victory of the match
  • The combination of Anna Rasmussen and Melissa Ifidzhen defeated Megan Scholvinck and Elizabeth Truluck of Davidson in a back and forth match to earn VCU the doubles point
  • Delgado cruised by Scholvinck in two sets, winning the Rams the first singles point of the day
  • Noumea Witmus swept Alyssa Hahn in two sets, only allowing one game against her in No. 6 singles
  • In singles play, every Ram defeated their opponent in two sets, outscoring Davidson 73-24
