TERTEAC NAMED CAA WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
RICHMOND, Va.—An ace on the court can sometimes go unnoticed as they do what they always do by winning for the squad. Sophomore Olga Terteac was noticed today as she was named CAA Player of the Week for women's tennis.
Terteac has compiled a 10-3 record this spring, including a current four-game win streak. Over this stretch, she has toppled three of her four opponents in two-set matches. Her last victory came against Marshall's Ellie Ball, 7-5, 6-2.
Her season began with a five-game win streak, highlighted by a dominating victory over her opponent from conference foe Old Dominion and a clutch win against ACC powerhouse NC State.
Another key victory of her sophomore campaign came as the lone point for the Rams at in-state rival Virginia Tech. She took down Carol Kahoun 6-2, 6-4 in Blacksburg for her sixth victory of the spring.
The sophomore and her squad will next head down to South Florida to take on Marquette this Saturday, April 6.
