RICHMOND, Va. – The last couple of weeks have been productive for VCU Women's Soccer, as the welcome five new signees to the 2019 recruiting class. The Rams, who are graduating 7 seniors this offseason, are coming off a year in which they compiled a 16-4 overall record, including a 9-1 finish in conference play.

In addition, VCU earned its second consecutive berth to the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship match and set a new program record most in a single season (16).


Midfielder/forward Lilli Marcia will join the Rams upon graduating from St. Catherine's High School in Richmond, Va. Marcia, who was born in Boston, Mass., scored 44 goals and dished out 23 assists in her high school career. She has been named to two separate All-State teams, including being named to the First Team last season in her junior year. Marcia has been a member of a St. Catherine's team that has won three State Championships from 2015-17. She plans on majoring in engineering with VCU.

Goalkeeper Alyssa Minnick signed with the Rams after a successful senior season with the Notre Dame Preparatory. Minnick, who is a native of Baltimore, Md., recorded seven clean sheets this year, while averaging eight saves per match. She posted two assists and scored her lone goal of the season on a 45-yard free-kick. Early in her high school career, Minnick played on the field, compiling four goals and five assists in two season. She currently plans on majoring in engineering. 

Midfielder/forward Aliza Trasatti will join the Rams after graduating from Downington East High School. Trasatti, a Glenmoore, Pa. native, compiled 11 goals and 18 assists during her time with Downington East. She was a member of the team that won 2018 Ches-Mont League Championship, and was named to the First Team All-Ches-Mont League in both 2015 and 2018. She also earned the distinction as a team captain in the 2018 season. Trasatti will major in International Affairs at VCU.

Midfielder Sophie Brophy signed with VCU upon finishing her senior year at Kellam High School. Brophy, a native of Virginia Beach, Va., was a member of the 2016-17 Kellam team that it to the Virginia State finals. She is a member of the National Honor Society and won the Academic Award for Kellam Women's Soccer in 2015-16. She plans to major in Exercise Science at VCU. 

Midfielder Anna Bagley will join VCU after graduating from Marianapolis Preparatory School. Bagley, a Charlton, Mass. native, scored 61 goals and added 48 assists in her high school career. She was named as a 2018-19 Stars of Mass. ECNL Player to Watch for her club team while also helping her high school program win two SENE Championships. She is currently undecided on her major.
