VCU CONTINUES RISE UP UNITED SOCCER COACHES POLL

RICHMOND, Va. – United Soccer Coaches released their Week 7 team rankings on Tuesday, with VCU moving into the top-5 for the East Region. After extending their conference winning streak to four games in the past week, the Rams moved up three spots in the rankings, going from 7th to 4th

VCU added to their strong start to the season, improving their record to 9-2 overall with a 4-0 record in conference play. The Rams are currently on a six match winning streak, boasting victories over Old Dominion (2-1 OT), William & Mary (1-0), St. Bonaventure (3-0), George Mason (3-1), Dayton (4-0) and Duquesne (2-1) respectively.

The Rams also moved into the top-50 in RPI, ranking 47th overall. They have compiled a 4-1 record on the road this season and a 4-1 record in matches played at Sports Backers Stadium. In addition, they've had three players (Samantha Jerabek, Kelly Graves, & Audrey Sanderson) earn A-10 Player of the Week Awards in the past two weeks.

VCU is currently tied for first in the Atlantic 10 Conference in points (12) and win percentage (81.8%). They continue conference play this Thursday, Oct. 4, when Davidson comes to town for a 7 p.m. matchup at Sports Backers Stadium.
