VCU MOVES UP THREE SPOTS IN UNITED SOCCER COACHES POLL

RICHMOND, Va. – United Soccer Coaches released their Week 6 team rankings on Tuesday, with VCU remaining in the top 10 for the East Region. After securing two big conference victories in the past week, the Rams moved up three spots in this week's rankings, going from 10th to 7th

VCU has opened the season strong, jumping out to a 7-2 start including a 2-0 record in conference play. The Rams are currently on a four match winning streak, boasting victories over Old Dominion (2-1 OT), William & Mary (1-0), St. Bonaventure (3-0) and George Mason (3-1) respectively.

The current winning streak represents the second time this season the Rams have won at least three consecutive games. They are 3-1 on the road this season and 3-1 in matches played at Sports Backers Stadium. In addition, they've won their lone neutral site game, a 2-0 victory over UNI.

The Rams are currently tied for first in the Atlantic 10 Conference in points (6) and win percentage (77.8%). They continue conference play this Thursday, Sept. 25, when they travel to Dayton, Ohio for a 7 p.m. matchup with Dayton.
