RICHMOND, Va. – The VCU Women's Soccer program has finalized its 2013 spring schedule, which features six matches including four at Sports Backers Stadium.
The Rams open their spring slate on the road against former Colonial Athletic Association rival Old Dominion on March 1. VCU then faces another familiar foe, James Madison, on March 15 at Striker Park. Kickoff against the Dukes is set for 7 p.m.
VCU makes its spring debut at Sports Backers Stadium on March 22 when it hosts in-state opponent Longwood at 7 p.m. The Rams also have home matches against their alumni squad (April 7), Georgetown (April 12) and cross-town rival Richmond (April 19).
The Rams will host a soccer clinic for girls (ages 6-13) prior to their match against the Spiders. The event runs from 5-6 p.m. and is free to the public. For more information on the clinic, please visit RamsSoccerAcademy.com.
VCU made a splash during its first season in the Atlantic 10 last fall, posting 12 victories, the most during Co-Head Coaches Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak and Tim Sahaydak's six-year tenure with the Rams. VCU also advanced to the conference championship match for the second straight season.
