RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Women's Soccer Coach Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak will get yet another chance to represent the United States because of her soccer career. This time, however, she will be serving as a coach for the U.S. Soccer U-20 and U-18 training camps.
The training camps will take place from Feb. 2-Feb. 9 in Carson, Calif. at the Home Depot Center. Twenty-four of the best soccer players in America will compete over the course of the week for spot on the U-20 roster. They will also play in two scrimmages against UCLA and UC Irvine.
Roberts Sahaydak was a member of the US Women's National Team from 1994-2004. During that span she won an Olympic Gold Medal and a World Cup Championship.
While with the Rams, Roberts Sahaydak and her husband, Tim, have led VCU to more than 50 victories and 20 shutouts since 2011. The duo was also named CAA Coach of the Year in 2011.
Under the guidance of Sahaydak's, the Rams have reached back-to-back conference championships and posted 12 victories in 2012, the highest total during their six-year tenure.
