GETTING TO KNOW: JUNIOR MOLLY ALLEN

RICHMOND, Va. - The VCU women's soccer team wrapped up its 2010 season this past weekend and throughout the fall it was the back four of the Rams that shined the brighest.

Part of that back four was junior Molly Allen who will be back next year in the Black & Gold to lead VCU in a quest for a spot in the CAA Tournament. Before heading to the offseason, Allen sat down with VCU Athletic Communications student assistant Scott Wyant to give us a few tidbits about her that we might not know already.

SW: What made you decide to come to VCU?
MA: I was persuaded by our coaches passion for the sport. I knew that with their experience at the highest level and competitiveness, I would become a better soccer player.

SW: How did you spend your summer?
MA: Half at home in Canada, and half here training and summer class

SW: What is the best thing about Canada?
MA: The people, the snow (sometimes), hockey, the nature, and maple syrup.

SW: What are your hobbies off the field?
MA: Spending time with my many roommates

SW: What are you studying here at VCU?
MA: Biology

SW: What is the best part of being a student athlete?
MA: Playing the sport!
