GETTING TO KNOW: JUNIOR MEAGHAN DULLEA

RICHMOND, Va. -The women's soccer team is looking to climb up the Colonial Athletic Association standings and the back line will be a big reason behind the climb, allowing just one goal per game and registering five shutouts so far this fall.

Before the Black & Gold head off for a weekend road strip, VCU Athletics' student assistant Scott Wyant had a chance to catch up with junior defender Meaghan Dullea

SW: What made you choice to come to VCU?
MD: I loved my coaches' philosophies and what and how they wanted to coach their players. I also loved Richmond because of how different it was from where I grew up.

SW: When did you first start playing soccer?
MD: I first started playing when I was 3.

SW: What is your greatest accomplishment on the pitch?
MD: I'd have to go with beating JMU in double overtime my freshman year

SW: What is your favorite part of being a member of the women's soccer team?
MD: I pretty much love everything about it… I don't really have a specific favorite.

SW: Is there anyone you model your play after?
MD: Not specifically

SW: If you were stuck on a dessert island what three things would you bring?
MD: bathing suit, ipod, book

SW: What do you do to relax on an off day?
MD: if it's nice out I like going to Carytown or to the river… if it's not it's definitely a movie day

SW: What do you plan to do after you graduate?
MD: go to grad school and become a physical therapist
