NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – VCU Lacrosse redshirt sophomore midfielder Sky Hyatt was named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week after scoring 11 goals and adding three assists. She also had nine draw controls, six caused turnovers and and two grounds balls in two games.

It marks the second time Hyatt has been named the A-10 Player of the Week during her career and she is the second Ram to earn the honor this season, joining teammate Molly Barcikowski.

Against George Washington, Hyatt scored a game-high six goals for the Rams on 11 shots. She also added team-high four draw controls and two ground balls. She helped the Rams to a 15-13 victory.

The win at George Washington doubled the second-year program's victory total from last season and gave VCU its first conference road win. On Thursday at Saint Joseph's, Hyatt led the Rams with a team-high five goals on nine shot attempts, dished out three assists and had five draw controls. The Rams led for a large majority of the game but lost 18-17 on a late goal from the Hawks.
