RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Women's Basketball head coach Beth O'Boyle has announced the addition of transfer Jordan Agustus, an ESPN Top 100 recruit out of high school in the class of 2015.

Agustus, per NCAA rules, will have to sit out the 2017-18 season but will have two years of eligibility remaining. She is a 6-foot-1 forward and Bronx, New York native who played at St. John's University the past two seasons.

"Jordan is a great addition to our program. She is a very skilled offensive player who has the ability to score off the bounce and play strong inside and out. Her length and athleticism will be a great fit in our up-tempo system and I am really looking forward to having the opportunity to coach her," said O'Boyle.

August played in 22 games for St. John's last season as a sophomore, averaging 1.6 points and 1.3 rebounds per game for a team that was 22-12 overall. Agustus also played in 23 games for the Red Storm as a freshman and averaged 1.3 points and 1.5 rebounds in 6.9 minutes per game.

Agustus was a three-time All-Long Island selection by Newsday at Saint Mary's High School. She was listed by ESPN as the No. 100 recruit in the class of 2015 and the No. 15 wing player according to ESPN Hoopgurlz as well as the No. 5 player in New York. She led Saint Mary's to a Nassau Suffolk Catholic High School Athletic Association title as a junior in 2014 and averaged 15.3 points and 9.1 rebounds per game.
