RICHMOND, Va. – Marlene Stollings has resigned as VCU Women's Basketball coach and has accepted the same position at Minnesota.

Stollings led the Rams to a 22-10 mark this season, her second at VCU, and an appearance in the Women's NIT. VCU saw an 11-win improvement over the 2012-13 campaign, one of the best in the nation. In two seasons, she was 33-29 overall.

The Rams broke a number of school records in 2013-14, including points per game and 3-point field goals. Senior forward Robyn Parks led the Atlantic 10 in scoring and rebounding was named First Team All-Atlantic 10 and to the league's All-Tournament Team.
"VCU Athletics thanks Coach Stollings for her many contributions to the university during her short tenure. Most importantly, she recruited a talented group of student-athletes who will continue to move our program in a championship direction as they pursue their degrees. I'm confident that our national search will bring a talented coach to VCU."
VCU will immediately begin a national search for Stollings' replacement.
